William (Bill) Frank Beuth Sr., 78, of Medina, Ohio, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 7, 2022.
Bill was born in a car under a bridge on the way to the hospital outside Steubenville, Ohio on October 26, 1943, the son of the late Frank Beuth and Minnie Fischer Beuth. He graduated from Adena High School, then attended The Ohio State University on a work-study program, where he obtained his degree in civil engineering. He married Judith (Brokaw) Beuth on July 30, 1966, and went on to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for almost 40 years, a job which led to multiple relocations including assignments in France, Brazil, Canada, and Ohio, Alabama and Nebraska within the United States.
Bill was an extremely dedicated family man. With Judy, his wife of almost 56 years, he is father to Melinda (Steve) Whittington, and Bill (Linda) Beuth Jr. He is grandfather to Zachary Whittington, Jennifer Whittington, Amanda Beuth and Tyler Beuth. He and Judy were also foster parents to several children. In addition to family and Ohio State, Bill deeply loved music – especially polkas, gardening, playing cards – especially pinochle, and numbers. Bill embraced a strong sense of hard work and duty and was a long standing volunteer to various Presbyterian churches near their homes and to Habitat for Humanity.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Alfred Beuth; and his sisters, Gertrude Wasko and Dorothy Flowers.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m., noon, at Covenant Presbyterian Church of Harrisville, with Rev. Barry Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Harrisville, Ohio. Those attending are invited to join in a meal celebrating Bill’s life after the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
