Thomas Patrick Beck Sr.

Thomas Patrick Beck Sr. of Adena, Ohio, age 84, passed away on January 22, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital.  He was born August 17, 1936 in Cassandra, PA. Tom was the youngest of six children of Francis and Mary Montgomery Beck. 

  In 1955, Tom graduated from Portage High School, Portage, PA.   After graduating he moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he worked for the White Motor Company, Viking Steel Corp., and later as a Courier for DHL Express.

  Tom was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He was an active member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, Adena.  An avid hunter and fisherman, he spent many hours of enjoyment tying flies and making fishing lures for himself, family and friends.  He was best known for his warm friendly smile and his outgoing personality.

  He is survived by his beloved wife of 64-1/2 years, Rosita (Ferchalk) Beck and their 5 children, Mary (Edward, deceased) Cole, Karen Beck, Cathy (Jeff) Sweeney, Thomas Patrick Jr., Sylvia (Dave) Pratt and sister Bridget (Steve, deceased) Gruss.  Also survived by his grandchildren: Kristina Cole (Brad) Agar, Ryan, Rachael and Erica Pratt, Matthew and Todd Sweeney, and great grandchildren Luke, Ella, Will, Marli, Natali, Aubree, Aisley and Rome.

  In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Gordon and Richard, and a sister Catherine Marcinko.

   Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial which will be held Saturday May 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir's Catholic Church with Monsignor John Kolesar as celebrant. (Facial Masks are required)
