YOVANOVICH, Shirley Major, 77, of Charleston Street, Cadiz, Ohio, died Monday April 19, 2010.
She was born at Barnesville, Ohio on October 7, 1932, a daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Murphy Major.
Shirley was a former Tax Administrator for the Village of Cadiz, a member of the Jr. Women’s Club of Cadiz; the DISTAFF Club of Cadiz; a member of the Cadiz Presbyterian Church and was very active in the Democrat Women’s Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Harold and Dwight Major.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert Yovanovich; two daughters: Annette Staley and her husband Mark of Wheeling, W.Va. and Carol Logue and her husband James of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister Marjorie Pauley of Columbus, Ohio, a sister-in-law Anne Kelley of Mason, Ohio; three grandchildren: Matthew and Christopher Staley and Daniel Logue.
Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio where services will be held Saturday April 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend RJ Leek, officiating.
