Saundra "Sandee" Ann (Aken) Prince

Saundra “Sandee” Ann Prince, age 81 of Adena, passed away May 2, 2025, at Shadyside Care Center.

She was born December 15, 1943, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to parents Robert and Ruth (Lawson) Aken. Sandee graduated from Chester High School and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She worked for many years as a registered nurse at East Ohio Regional Hospital and later with the Ohio Valley Health Plan.

On October 21, 1967, she married her beloved husband John Prince. They raised their two children, Leigh Ann and Brett, on Bonnie Lane. Sandee enjoyed traveling and camping all across the United States. Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and absolutely cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sandee is survived by her husband John Prince, her daughter Leigh Ann (RJ) Hopkins, her son Brett Prince, her grandchildren: Lindsay, Sarah, Chase, and Connor, her great-grandchildren: Landon, Lylah, Lawson, and Ronnie, as well as her sister Gloria Davis, and her brother Rob Aken.

Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received Friday, May 9, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM with a memorial service celebrated by Pastor Barry Hall at 2:00 PM at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 60 S. Bridge St., Adena, OH 43901.
