Ruth Ann Ramsay, well-known Pittsburgh businesswoman, died November 11, 2011 in New York City. Born September 17, 1921 in Canton, Ohio to educator Jonathan J. Hutchens and Erma Stella Schory Hutchens, the youngest daughter of an old Canton mercantile family.  Her father in law, William Cross Ramsey, was instrumental in building the Church of God, in Cadiz.  Her youth was spent studying and performing in speech, ballet, and music.  During and after World War II, she was successively a college student, an office assistant at Timken Steel, Speech Professor at Sterling College, Kansas, and Anderson University, Indiana.  After moving to Pittsburgh she worked as a counselor for the Liken Employment Services, then for 24 years as President of Ramsay Personnel, Inc.  Ruth Ann was a caring humanitarian who was active in community service and participated in numerous community and professional organizations.  She was a long-time member of the Haven Heights Methodist Church and the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh.  Ruth Ann was married to her late husband, Robert Skinner Ramsay, for 55 years and is survived by her sister, Margaret Hahn, and brother, Paul N. Hutchens.  She is also survived by her artist-daughter known as Ramsay, son-in-law Dr. Norman Goldstein, and her son, Dr. Douglas S. Ramsay, and daughter-in-law, Dr. Michelle Brot, as well as her two grandsons Benjamin and Jonathan Ramsay.  Friends will be received from 12 noon until the time of service at 1pm on Saturday, November 19th at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio.
