Ronald W. Hamilton Sr., of Dillonvale, OH, died Monday, October 16, 2017, at Wheeling Hospital, in Wheeling, WV.
Ronald was born in New Martinsville, WV, to the late William and Carolyn (Smith) Hamilton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Hamilton.
Ronald was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, class of 1958, where he played basketball; he served in the United States Army 983rd Engineer Construction Battalion in Bellaire and was called to active duty in 1961 as a result of the Cuban Missile Crisis; he was retired from Clevite and Cardinal Health. While retired, he enjoyed working on his farm until his health declined; he was a member of the Piney Fork Presbyterian church.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Janet Hamilton; two daughters, Janice (Oscar) Parrish Karen (Scott) Dulkoski; two sons, Ronald (Nicole) Hamilton Jr and Timothy (Maria) Hamilton; three sisters, Sondra (Victor) Yeager, Barbara Hess and Donna (Bob) Meager; two brothers, Jack(Mary-Lou) Hamilton and John (Jackie) Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Linda Hamilton; 12 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Ronald and celebrate his life on Friday, October 20th from 11 until the time of memorial service of 1 pm at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, OH, with Reverend Barry Hall officiating.
