Naomi Louise (Murray) Dickerson

Naomi Louise Dickerson, age 90 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away January 4, 2026, at Belmont Manor, surrounded by her family.

She was born October 24, 1935, in Mt. Pleasant, to parents Albert and Dora (Watkinson) Murray. Naomi graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1953, and became active in their alumni association.

She was also an active member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, where she played the piano for many years and was a Sunday school teacher. Naomi worked as a bookkeeper for Hazel Atlas, Ensurco, and Steffl Appraisal. In her younger years, she volunteered as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, and recently volunteered with Valley Hospice. In her free time, Naomi enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, playing board games, and games on her phone.

Above all, she loved her family. Naomi was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She is survived by her children: Karla (Bill) DeLong of Adena and Jeff (Tracey) Dickerson of Adena, her grandchildren: Joshua DeLong, Maria (John) Rutan, Lukas (fiancé Kiri Carothers) Dickerson, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frederick G. Dickerson, her sister Gladys Helt, her half sisters Marjorie Moore and Mildred Murray, and her half brothers Charles, Glenn, and Howard Murray.

Friends and family will be received Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Ken Staley at 1:00 PM at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 60 S Bridge St, Adena, OH 43901. Private burial will take place at Holly Memorial Gardens.
