Mary Virginia Stemkowski, 92, of Harrisville, OH, passed Sunday April 15, 2018 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
She was born in West Bellaire, OH, on May 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia Miner Hochevar.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Stemkowski and a brother Joe Hochevar.
Mary is a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. Her life revolved around her children and her long-standing faith in God her Savior – There is no doubt she now walks with the angels.
Mary is survived by a son Stanley J. (Debbie) Stemkowski of New Athens, daughters: Bonnie L. (Richard) Duill of Adena, Maryann (Terry) Steffl of Mount Pleasant; a brother Richard (Margaret) Hochevar of Akron, nine grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday April 19, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio where vigil service will be held at 7:30. Visitation also on Friday April 20th from 10 until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Hanna Avenue, Adena, with Monsignor John Kolesar as celebrant.
