JACKSON, Marjorie “Marj” Balderson, 81, of Cadiz, Ohio, died Saturday January 24, 2009 at Trinity West Medical Center, Steubenville.
She was born at Malta, Ohio on October 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Fred and Esther Dudley Balderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Tuttle.
Marj was a member of the First Church of Christ, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
Marj is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Edwin C. Jackson; two sons: Edwin L. Jackson and John Jackson and his wife Lorrie, all of Cadiz; two brothers: Fred Balderson (Dorothy) of McConnelsville, Ohio and John Balderson (Brenda) of Malta, Ohio; five sisters: Louise Murphy (Donald) of Malta, Gloria Thompson of McConnelsville, Colleen Balderson of Malta, Kay Tisher (Charles) of Obetz, Ohio and Nancy Smith (Mike) of Kettering, Ohio; two grandchildren: Bart (Danielle) Jackson and Emily Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio where services will be held Thursday January 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Giffin, officiating.
