ABEL, Lydia Marie Gardner, 94, died Wednesday August 8, 2007 in the Harrison County Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
She was born September 25, 1912 in Walnut Creek, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harvey and Alta Miller Gardner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Abel; two sisters: Alice Hahn and Margaret Lynn, and a brother Howard Gardner.
Marie is survived by a brother, Ralph Gardner of Battlecreek, MI., four sisters: Ester Oetzel and Bessie Towles, Miriam Antil, all of Orville, Ohio, Ruth Schlabach of Walnut Creek, Ohio; Bill and Pamela Abel of Florida; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends were received Tuesday August 14, 2007 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio, with the Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating. Interment followed in Longview Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio.
