Josephine "Jody" Frances (Marzley) Lekeu

Josephine “Jody” Lekeu, 97, has gone to meet her Savior on September 28, 2022.

  She was born in Dillonvale, Ohio on October 23, 1924, a daughter of the late Bolek and Edna Preliko Marzley.  She graduated from Dillonvale High School in 1943. She worked with her father B.B. Marzley in his grocery store.

  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph “Bud” Lekeu of 58 years; her sister Helen Turel, brothers: Stanley, Bernard and Louis Marzley; niece Antionette Peltz, sister-in-law Mary Carlier, niece Karen Carlier and great-nephew Christopher Carlier.

  She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Shirley White, Maryann Hutkay, June Ronevitch, Jeff Peltz; great nieces and nephews: Julie Ogden, Johnathan Peltz, Michael Ronevitch, Burt (Amanda) Marzley, Michael Marzley, Brandon (Emily) Marzley, Michelle, Donna and Michael Cain; nieces and nephews: Caroline, Peter, Caleb Marzley; John Carlier, Greg (Marybeth) Kilpatrick, and Tim Carlier and their children, and her very close friend Wayne Kirk.

  Friends will be received Monday October 3, 2022, from 10:00 until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 221 Hanna Avenue, Adena, Ohio with Monsignor John Kolesar as celebrant.   Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Rosary Society or to St. Casimir Church.
