VARGO, Joseph Jr., 78, of Cadiz, Ohio, died Friday March 14, 2008 at Trinity East, Steubenville, Ohio.
He was born in Cadiz on June 30, 1929, a son of the late Joseph Vargo Sr. and Goldie Stillwagon Vargo.
Joseph was a retired employee of Y & O Coal and the Village of Cadiz; a member of Harrison Lodge 219 F&AM; Cadiz F.O.E.; Cadiz American Legion; and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Rock Vargo; two sons: Jeffrey Vargo of MD.; David Vargo of New Athens, Ohio; a daughter Sharon Vargo of Cadiz; a brother Donald Vargo (Bonnie) of Hopedale, Ohio; a sister Maggie Clinesmith of Hopedale; two grandchildren: Seth and Ally Vargo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends were received Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, where services were held Monday March 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Masonic Services were held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Graveside Military services were conduced by Cadiz American Legion. Interment followed at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
