John “Dobuts” Tonkovich, 92, of Adena, Ohio, passed Tuesday December 17, 2019 at the Meadows of Cadiz.
He was born in Provident, Ohio on March 7, 1927, a son of the late Frank and Katie Tonkovich.
John was a retired employee of Nelms Y&O Coal, lifetime member of Pine Valley Sportsman Club, American Legion and a U.S. Army World War II Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Dorothy Wilson Tonkovich and a brother Frank Tonkovich.
He is survived by his children: John (Charlene) Tonkovich of Adena, Linda Borsos, Cindy (Doug) Mallett, Peggy (Tim Cowger) Davis; a brother Dan Tonkovich, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandsons.
Friends are invited Friday 3 to 8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 60 South Bridge Street, Adena, Ohio where services will be held Saturday December 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Barry Hall officiating.
