Jean Bartrug

Jean Bartrug, 80, of Adena, OH, died, Saturday, April 8, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian, in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on July 11, 1936 in Adena, OH, to the late Max and Rosa (Svacil) Bednarik.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Bartug; a brother, Max Bednarik; an infant sister, Judy Bartrug and a daughter- in law, Veronica Bartrug.

Jean was a member of the Adena United Methodist Church and The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Club.

She is survived by two sons, Jack (Linda) Bartrug, of Mt. Pleasant, OH and Jerry Bartrug, of Adena, OH; a daughter, Janine (Bob) Bowers, of Adena, OH; a brother, Joe(Jackie) Bednarik; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Jean and celebrate her life on Thursday, April 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, OH.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 am from the funeral home with Pastor Drew McPeek officiating.

Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
