Jack B. Soos

Jack B. Soos, 87, of Harrisville, Ohio, died Monday December 25, 2023, at his home.
  Jack was born on June 22, 1936, a son of the late John and Mary Lachendro Soos.
  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Soos, brothers: James “Will” Soos, Charles Soos.
  He is survived by his two sons: Mark J. Soos and Kevin J. (Bonita) Soos; siblings: Robert (Jackie) Soos, Marge (Charlie) Werner, Bernadine (Ron) Sliva and sister-in-law Helen Matalka.
  Jack was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, Adena. He worked at Bedway Coal and Consol Coal Company.  Jack was also a proud member of the UMWA and was very thankful for the benefits he received.
  Jack enjoyed his career as a dozer operator at Consol, working alongside the “Silver Spade” and “Gem of Egypt” shovels.  He loved his Ford trucks, Ford 8N, and Farmall tractors, and his wood burning stove.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife and his two sons.
  A service will be held at the convenience of the family.
