Kidd, Helen A. (Madzia), 83, of Adena, Ohio died Sunday September 5, 2010 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz, Ohio.
She was born in Adena on April 2, 1927, a daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Susan Melchioris Madzia.
Helen was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, CWC, Rosary Society and AARP.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Kidd; a brother Ted Madzia and a great-grandson Tommy Owens.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Patricia Schenk and her husband Raymond of London, Ohio; two sons: Robert Kidd and his wife Kathryn, and David Kidd and his wife Angela, all of Adena; four brothers: Jim Madzia (Evelyn) of Parma, Ohio, Joe Madzia Jr. (Mary Lou) of Massillon, Ohio; John Madzia of SC., and Bill Madzia (Pauline) of Sandusky, Ohio; a sister-in-law Beverly Madzia of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Tamara, J.R., Heather, Michelle, Jason and Angelica; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio, where vigil service will be held at 7:30pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday September 10, 2010 at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Adena at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor John Kolesar, officiating. Interment will follow at Longview Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio. Offer online condolences at www.borkoskifuneral.com
