Hazel Minerva (Laizure) Huffman

HUFFMAN, Hazel Minerva, 95, of New Athens, Ohio, died Tuesday December 8, 2009 at the Harrison County Home.
  She was born September 12, 1914, a daughter of the late Bessie Laizure.
  Minerva was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Huffman in 1984; a daughter Viola Huffman and two brothers: Ralph and Raymond Laizure.
  She was a member of the New Athens Fire Ladies Auxiliary; a lifetime member of the Franklin Museum; the Flushing Senior Citizens, and the Stumptown Steam Thrashers Auxiliary.
  Minerva is survived by two sons: Ronald Dean Huffman and his wife Carol Ann, and Richard Arlen Huffman and his wife Patricia Ann, all of New Athens;  and a daughter, Donna Lee Runevitch and her husband James Sr., of Harrisville; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
  Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio, where services will be held Saturday December 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Al Hoder and Jon Little,  officiating.  Interment will follow at Longview Cemetery, New Athens.    Memorial Contributions may be made to: New Athens Volunteer Fire Department or the Franklin Museum.
