George "Danny Boy" Starkey

George Daniel “Danny Boy” Starkey, 79, of Harrisville, Ohio, passed Saturday February 23, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital.

  He was born September 2, 1939, a son of the late Robert Frank and Ada Mae Shields Starkey.  He was a retired truckdriver and a Methodist.

  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane McLaughlin Starkey, sons: Robert and William Starkey.

  Danny is survived by sons: Greg Starkey of Harrisville, George (Roxane) Starkey Jr. of Wintersville, Ohio, daughter Vickie (Rick) Rennicker of Dennison, OH, sister Sally (Jim) Crawford of Rayland, Ohio,  step sons: Warren Baker, Roy Edward (Cindy) Baker Jr. both of Louisa, VA; step-daughters: Debbie Baker of Cambridge, OH, Diane Roberta Clevenger of Harrisville, daughter in law: Lori Starkey of Colerain, 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

  Friends will be received Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, where services will be held Thursday February 28, 2019 at 12 noon with Rev.
