Frank Adam Gaba, 85, of Cadiz, Ohio, one of the greatest fathers ever, passed June 23, 2012 at home.
He was born in Adena, Ohio on January 14, 1927, a son of the late Matthew and Mary Madzia Gaba.
He was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life, gardening and sitting on the porch swing watching the birds. He retired in 1988 from N&W Railroad, and was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Carson Gaba; brothers: Joe and Walter Gaba; and sisters Stella Sefsick and Anne Gaba.
Frank is survived by three sons: Robert and Mark Gaba of Cadiz, and Scott (Debbie) Gaba of Hopedale, Ohio; daughters: Teresa (Jay) Jones of Port Washington, Ohio and Judy Gaba (Barry Harubin) of Adena; a brother: Herman Sasak of Adena; grandchildren: Kristie, Jacob Jones of Port Washington and Elizabeth and Matthew Gaba of Hopedale; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio, Vigil at 7 pm., where services will be held Wednesday June 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim McGuire, officiating. Interment will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
