Eleanor Mae (Scypta) Soos

 Eleanor Mae Soos, 81, of Harrisville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Wheeling.

  She was born June 4, 1940, a daughter of the late Frank and Edna Scypta.

  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Dolores (Edward) Oszust.

  Eleanor is survived by her husband of 58 years, John “Jack” Soos, her two sons: Mark J. Soos and Kevin J. (Bonita) Soos, and her sister Helen (George) Matalka.

  Eleanor is a member of St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, Adena.  She worked the majority of her career at Consol Coal Company.

  Eleanor enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, cooking, baking and spending time with her two grand dogs Isabel and Scout Soos.

  Services will be private at the family’s convenience.
