Edward "Chalky" Norman Masloski

April 28, 1949 ~ May 16, 2020 (age 71)



Edward “Chalky” Norman Masloski, age 71, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2020 at Park Health Center St. Clairsville, Ohio after a long struggle with brain cancer.

Ed was born in Martins Ferry, OH and lived most of his life in Adena, OH. He was a US Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He worked for a period of time for the town of Adena. Later, he moved on to work for the J.C. Penney Co. for over 25 years, where he was honored for never having missed a day of work. 

Ed was a member of the Adena American Legion. He loved fishing and sports, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley Walter and Agnes (Nameth) Masloski. Ed is survived by brother Stanley (Harriet) Masloski of Mt. Pleasant, OH; sisters, Donna (Robert) Thompson of Ft. Mill, SC and Janet (Birney) Humphrey of Clyde, NC. Also, nieces, Megan (Christopher) Salvatore of Green, OH and Valerie Thompson Rochester, NY and four great nieces.  Nephews include Scott (Jenny) Masloski of Medina, OH, Judson Humphrey of Bloomington, MN; and Timothy Thompson of Murrells Inlet, SC. Uncle Mike (Phyllis) Nameth and aunt Helen Angel. In addition, two life-long friends Larry Bickerstaff and Rich Scovronski.

The family of Edward Masloski thank all the staff of the Park Health Center and Valley Hospice for the kind and loving care they provided.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday October 5, 2020 at St. Casimir Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor John C. Kolesar as celebrant. Adena American Legion Post #525 will provide Military Honors following Mass at Church.  Inurnment will follow at St. Casmir Catholic Cemetery.
