Dorothy Ellen (Carter) Utter

Dorothy E. Utter, 90, of Harrisville, Ohio, passed away on Friday August 19, 2022, at WVU Wheeling Hospital.

  She was born June 17, 1932, a daughter of the late Harold and Sarah Childers Carter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred Utter Jr., granddaughter Tracy Renee Utter, sister Mary Alice Crothers, daughter in law Kimberly (Veach) Utter, brothers: Ronald Carter and Richard E. (Butch) Carter.

  Dorothy is a member of the United Methodist Church of Harrisville, Women of Faith and the Harrisville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

    Dorothy is survived by her children: Kenneth (Suzie) Utter, Randy (Patricia) Utter, Larry (Ruth) Utter, Donald Utter; brothers: Orval "Ace" (Clara) Carter, David (Donna) Carter; Sisters: Shirley Oszust, Virginia Fonner, Nancy (Kenneth) Joseph, Judy (Gene) Roberts; seven grandchildren; Doug, Nikki, Chuck, Lori, Chris, Dan, Justin, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

    Friends will be received Monday August 22, 2022, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Staley officiating.  Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.
