Dorathy Jean (Helms) DeLong

Dorathy Jean DeLong, 90, of Adena, Ohio, passed away Friday December 29, 2023, at Trinity West.
  Dorathy was born in Gordan, Ohio, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Bennington Helms.
  Dorathy was a member of the Adena United Methodist Church and a Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years.  She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, and Grandmother who devoted her entire life to her family, and she will be dearly missed by each and every one of them.
  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Edwin DeLong Sr., brothers: Paul Helms, Arnold Helms, a sister Mildred Bell, and a granddaughter Bobbi Jo DeLong.
  Surviving are her five children: Robert (Rose) DeLong Jr., Cheryl (John) Figurski, Bill (Karla) DeLong, Donna Kniszek, Karen (Scott) Perko, all of Adena. She is also survived by her brother Larry (Josephine) “Tine” Helms of Stewartsville, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
  Friends will be received Wednesday 2 to 8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 60 South Bridge Street, Adena, Ohio, where services will be held Thursday January 4, 2024 at 11:00, with Pastor Larry Helms officiating.  Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
