Donnie Edward Sigler Jr.

Donnie Edward Sigler Jr., 70, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed away at home Friday June 10, 2022, with Mary by his side.

  Donnie was born on November 9, 1951, in Follansbee, WV, son of the late Margaret and John S. Martino.

  In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his infant brother John T. Martino, grandparents: John and Tresa (See) Balga Sr., and Uncle John Balga Jr.

  Donnie was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. He graduated from Follansbee High School in 1969 and attended West Liberty University.

  Donnie was a retired carpenter.  For 53 years, he was a member of the Local Union 186, Steubenville, OH and a member of the Sons of the American Legion.  Donnie was a very loving and caring person who enjoyed rebuilding his 1993 Lincoln Mark VII.  He also completed a five-year /carpenter’s Apprenticeship from Steubenville Local Union 186.

  Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife, soul mate, and best friend of 22 years, Mary.  He also loved to spend time with his honorary daughter, Lynden Gladd, whom he loved to spoil.

  Also surviving are his sister, Teresa (John) Marzo, her two daughters Ava and Ana; cousin Gregory (Gayle) Takacs, stepsiblings: Karen Rabuszko and John (Rebecca) Stillwell, Uncle John (Mary Ellen) Sigler, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and a son Todd (Shannon) Sigler and two granddaughters Savannah and Samantha Sigler.

  Friends will be received Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., with Vigil Service at 7:45 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio, and also on Friday June 17, 2022, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, with Rev. Fred Kihm as celebrant.  Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville.

  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Cadiz, St. Jude, or your favorite charity.
