Brent Joseph Brown

Brent Joseph Brown, age 52 of Adena, formerly of Martins Ferry, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, at his home. 

He was born January 19, 1973, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to parents Brent Clyde Brown and Deborah (Riley) Kuntz. Brent attended Martins Ferry Schools and enjoyed playing baseball and football as a young kid.

Family always came first in Brent’s life. He was a proud family man and looked forward to family gatherings. Brent also enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and liked to go 4-wheeling. Brent was a diehard Miami Dolphins fan and also rooted for Notre Dame and Miami University football teams. 

He is survived by his significant other Shalania Beach, his mother Debbie (Charlie) Kuntz, his children: Branda Cole, Brent Brown II, Preston (Sabreonna) Brown, and Tristan (Jananne) Jones, his step-children: BJ Beach, Tessia (Jay) Beach, and Justin (Nicole) Vargo, as well as his grandchildren: Lance, Aria, and Braxton, and his siblings: Danial (Moriah) Kuntz, Nikki (Tyler) Harshman, and Suzan (Dre) Edwards, along with his beloved fur babies Grumpy and Teeva. 

Brent was preceded in death by his father Brent Clyde Brown, his brother Timothy Brown, and his grandmothers Mary Riley and Margaret Brown.

Friends and family will be received to celebrate Brent’s life on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 60 S Bridge St, Adena.
