Betty Jane Oxley, 85 of St, Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Adena, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 19th at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Long Term Care, Martins Ferry, Ohio. She was born June 21, 1938, in Adena, a daughter of the late Jennie and Joseph Kobus, Sister of the late Carolyn (Kobus) Sprouse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Oxley, Jr. in 1993.
Surviving is her daughter, Tina Yanok of St. Clairsville and Grandson, Matthew Yanok of Hopedale, Ohio
Betty retired from the US Postal Service where she served as a Postal Clerk in the Adena Post Office for 54 years.
She Attend St. Casmir’s Catholic Church and as of late enjoyed services with Pastor John Jackson from the Lansing Methodist Church who provided services at East Ohio Long Term Care.
Betty spent her retirement Traveling, Gardening and was an avid reader and was a member of the St. Clairsville Public Library. She also loved spending time with friends and family.
As per Betty’s wishes no visitations or Services are planned. Private entombment at Olive Branch Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, is assisting the family.
