FORGAYS, Betty Penoyer, 90, of Hopedale, Ohio, died Monday October 5, 2009 at Trinity East, Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born at Conneaut, Ohio on June 3, 1919, a daughter of the late Walter and Mildred Wrench Hagan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Penoyer; a daughter, Roxanne Beadling, a step-daughter, Bonnie Holskey, and a brother Robert Hagan.
Betty was a retired employee of the former Scio Pottery.
Betty is survived by her husband, Sanford Forgays; a daughter, Jean Merryman and her husband Charles of Adamsville, Ohio; a son, William Penoyer and his wife Lee of Genieva, Ohio a son-in-law, Chester Beadling of Hopedale; a step-son, Reginald Forgays and his wife Pat; six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Friends were received Thursday, 3 - 7 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio, where services were held Friday October 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Samuel Betts, officiating.
