Bernard "Bernie" Matusik

Bernard "Bernie" Matusik, 77, of Adena, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday October 5, 2022, at home.   He was born February 15, 1945, a son of the late John and Frances Kroflich Matusik. Bernie was a retired employee of CONSOL.

  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers John and Walter Matusik; stepbrother Eugene Hilligas and stepmother Wilma Hilligas Matusik.

  Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bonnie Goff Matusik, daughter Paulette (Robert) Ledfors, son Paul (Kristy) Matusik; two grandchildren: Katie (Adam) Roberts, Zackary Matusik; great-grandsons: Uriah and Matthais Roberts; brothers: Bob, Roger, Tommy, and Dan Matusik; stepbrother Jim Hilligas and Lena Greenwood.

  Friends will be received Sunday October 9, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 60 South Bridge Street, Adena, Ohio where services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Monsignor John Kolesar, officiating.  Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.  Offer online condolences at www.borkoskifuneral.com
