Anthony "Tony" D. Maroni

Anthony “Tony” Maroni, 89, of New Athens, Ohio, passed Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Valley Hospice South, “Liza’s Place” Wheeling, W.Va.
  He was born in Fairpoint, Ohio on June 14, 1926, a son of the late Patsy and Rebecca Leisure Maroni.
  Tony was retired after 40 years of service to Consol Coal Co., a U.S. Navy Veteran and attended House of The Shepherd Church.
  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Louanne Pickering Maroni,  sisters: Rose, Angelina and Lena; and a brother Herman.
  Ton is survived by sons: Michael Maroni of St. Clairsville, Tony Lynn (Brenda) Maroni of New Athens, Jeff Maroni of Beallsville, OH., daughters:  Shelly (Mike) Moore of Jacobsburg, Lori (Les) Tickhill of Barnsville, Susie (Lee) Nichol of Flushing; and a brother Russ Maroni of Cadiz; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great- granddaughter.
  Friends will be received Sunday May 31, 2015 from 11 – 1:00 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Pete Tuchek, officiating.  Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.  Offer online condolences at www.borkoskifuneral.com
