Mary Ann (Milbert) Runevitch, age 67, of Harrisville, passed away April 2, 2026. She was born January 3, 1959, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to parents Albert Milbert Jr. and Mary (Burch) Milbert Runner.
Mary Ann graduated from Buckeye West High School and then married her beloved husband Jim Runevitch Jr. on April 30, 1977. She was a member of St. Casimir Parish and worked many different jobs throughout her life, including at the Cadiz Motel, at the Harrison County Home, and at JR Lanes. Mary Ann always kept busy.
She was an avid hockey fan which began as a Wheeling Thunderbirds fan, then the Pittsburgh Penguins, and eventually whoever Marc-Andre Fleury was playing for. Being active in the family business, JR Lanes, Mary Ann was a huge supporter of the Harrison Central Bowling Team and the Junior Youth League.
Above all, Mary Ann was devoted to her family. She was the matriarch and loved to bake and cook for family gatherings. She was affectionately known as "Memaw" to her grandchildren, and as "Auntie" to many others. Mary Ann could always be found at her grandkids' school and sporting events. She will be fondly remembered for being a caring person with a big heart and will be dearly missed.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband Jim Runevitch Jr., her children: Jim (Rayann) Runevitch III and Becky (Chris) Triplett, her grandchildren: Adriana (Drew), Aleyna, Kiara, and Grayson, as well as her great-grandson James. Her memory will also be cherished by her siblings: Albert Milbert III, Debra (Ray) Grimes, and Angella Milbert.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Buddy Burch and David Milbert.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Adena. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated by Reverend William Cross at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Harrisville. After the burial, there will be a time of fellowship and dinner at the Georgetown Community Hall.
