John E. Borkowski, age 83, of Kirtland Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on August 3, 1939, to John and Helen Borkowski in Piney Fork, Ohio.

He worked at the Hanna Coal Pipeline and later, The Lincoln Electric Company, from which he retired.

He was a certified welder, an auctioneer, a trapper, and avid hunter. He also restored classic cars and authored a book on Piney Fork genealogy.

John will be dearly missed by his wife Betty "Jamie", brothers Tom (Linda), and Ed (Betsy), sister Cecilia Godaway, and brother in law Don Kubinski. He is also survived by his daughter Jackie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Nancy Kubinski, and brother in law Bernie Godaway.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Borkoski Funeral Home,60 South Bridge Street, Adena, Ohio, from 9-11:30 AM. Service will be at the funeral home at 11:30 with Msgr. John Kolesar, officiating, and burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
