Edward Paul Oszust Sr., age 94 of Georgetown, passed away July 28, 2026, at his home.
He was born February 9, 1932, in Duncanwood, Ohio, to parents Mike and Nellie (Dayton) Oszust. Ed was affectionately known as "Red" to his family and friends.
Ed was a coal miner by trade and member of the UMWA. He started out at the Y&O Mine, then to Saginaw, and later retired from Consol Franklin #25. He loved the outdoors, especially when he was hunting, fishing or cutting firewood. Ed also enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Dolores Oszust, his son Eddie Oszust Jr., his daughter-in-law Patty Zeyer, and his son-in-law Robert "Bob" Blake. .
Ed is survived by his children: Gayle Blake, Bonnie (Terry) Snider, and Bruce (Kim) Oszust, his grandchildren: Jody, Stacy, Terry "T.R.", Tiffany, and Terrah, along with his great-grandchildren: Norah, Eli, Isiah, Isla, and Aria.
His wishes for cremation are being honored. He will be laid to rest with his wife in Olive Branch Cemetery on a later date. Condolences and fond memories may be shared at www.borkoskifuneral.com
