John M. Roski, 67, of Adena, Ohio, passed Wednesday February 8, 2017 at James Cancer Center, Columbus, OH.
He was born September 10, 1949, a son of the late Ben and Jennie “Tootsie” Gretchen Roski.
John was a retired U. S. Postal worker; a U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran, a member of Post 7477 Hopedale VFW, Adena American Legion Post 525, Shortcreek Sportsman Club, Adena Fire Company and St. Casimir Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Donald Roski, and special aunt and cousin Helen and Rosella Saseen.
John is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Brenda Rauscher Roski, a son Justin (Danielle) Roski of Bridgeport, OH, a daughter Amy (Shon) Clay of Piedmont, OH, brothers: David “Friday” Roski, Ben “BJ” Roski, both of Adena; mother in law Dorothy Rauscher, special sister in law Cheryl (Frank) Zamski, special nephew Benji (Randi) and niece Brooke; grandchildren: Peyton, Jarrett, Sydney Roski, Dalton and Heath Clay; and many other family members including nieces and nephews that he loved.
Friends will be received Sunday February 19, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 p.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Adena, with Msgr. John Kolesar as celebrant. Inurnment will be private at a later date. Military Honors will be held at church following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Fire Department., or the Adena American Legion.
