Abbie was such a inspiration to all of us.  Veronica loved reading for her in class and I still have a picture she took of the Veronica and Josh in my home.  We will miss her very much.

Mrs. Amos was my first grade teacher.  I was scared to death of her at first, but she ended up being one of my favorite teachers of all time (along with her brother, E.D. Shumaker).  Someone once told me that Abbie Amos could "teach a rock to read," and that person was absolutely correct.  She had so much compassion for all her students, well into their adult years.  I will miss her greatly.

Abbie touched the lives of many children and adults. She had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person on earth while in her presence. We were blessed to have known her.  Our sympathy to her family.

I have pleasant and fond memories of Abbie teaching me as a first-grader. Her devotion and love for children will live on in the lives of those she impacted.
