Mary Ellen Sowers Tuchek, 69, of Cadiz, Ohio, passed Tuesday December 25, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Dillonvale, Ohio on January 6, 1943, a daughter of the late Charles and Ina Beal Sowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Tracy Bates Richards; brothers: David, Don and Charles “Sonny” Sowers; sisters: Betty Barnhart, Sylvia Worwa, Evelyn Milliken, and Kathryn Faye Sowers; and a grandson Robert Gotchall Jr.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 36 years John Tuchek; a son Bob (Laurie) Bates of Cadiz; daughters: Tammy Gotschale (Brad) Taylor of Mentor, Ohio; Terry (Terry) Worrell of Mt. Pleasant, Christine Bates of Scio, Ohio; sisters: Grace Creamer Mills of Flushing, Ohio, and Ruth Toto of Adena, Ohio; brothers: Raymond, Gary, and Don Sowers; a son-in-law Mike Richards of Cadiz; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday December 28, 2012 from 2:00 until the time of service at 7:00p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio. Interment will be private at Cadiz Union Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www.borkoskifuneral.com

So sorry to hear that Mary passed. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I would love to stop by and give you a hug but due to my surgery I am not allowed to drive yet and my hubby works afternoons. Please know that I will be praying for you earnestly. Many hugs.

We are so very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. She put up a very long and courageous fight and will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. I know that she was greeted by Tracey and they are sharing hugs, jokes and laughter. May God be with all of you and may all of you find peace in your time of sorrow.
