Douglas M. Abel Sr.

ABEL,  Douglas M. Sr., 55, of Niagara Falls, NY, died January 3, 2011, at Cadiz, Ohio.  He was the father of Douglas Jr (Keren), Nicholas (Michelle) and Mark; grandfather of Allana & Addison Abel, Son of Mary Abel (Hickenbottom), brother of Melvin and Brad Abel.  Stepdaughter Teagan Gregorski (2 Step Grandchildren: Aliana & Caleb Stickland; , best friend Gina Gregorski, Godson Robert Hansen and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.  He Worked for Gross Plumbing for many years, was an independent contractor and had his own snow removal service.  He was a foster father working with Hillside Children’s Service and a strong advocate for the foster care system.  Was a proud Graduate of Niagara County Community College's Criminal Justice Program and attended Buffalo State College.    Friends may call Friday from 9 until time of services at 10:00 a.m. on January 6, 2012 at Borkoski Funeral Home, 555 E.
